                     Asian golden cat

Asian golden cat (lat. Catopuma temminckii) - is a graceful and plastic creation - a kind of wild cat catopuma, living in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. Earlier it attributed to the now abolished old golden cats. Today it is considered that its resemblance to gold occurring in Africa cat based on convergent evolution, the similarities between the different groups of organisms that live in similar conditions. The species is named after the Dutch zoologist Konrad Temminka.

Asian golden cat is more than two times larger than the normal house cat. Its length is 90 cm, not counting the tail length is 50 cm. Thick wool usually golden or brown in color, but there are also gray and black items. In some regions, cats Temminka more or less clearly visible stains on wool. On her face, there are black-and-white stripes.

Asian golden cat habitat stretches from the Himalayas and southern China to the Indochinese peninsula, as it occurs in Sumatra.

Asian golden cat live alone and are rather shy animals. They are nocturnal, are good at climbing trees, but moving nonetheless mostly on the ground. These include the production of the mouse, rabbits, young deer and birds.
